Marco Rubio Opens Miami Headquarters To Large Crowd

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Florida Senator Marco Rubio has opened his Miami headquarters on the eve of early voting in the county.
Rubio's first campaign office in the state is located at 7575 West Flagler Street.
At a grand opening on Sunday, a long list of South Florida congressional supporters were there to rally behind Rubio while he campaigns in Virginia ahead of Super Tuesday.
"He's not just Florida's favorite son, he's South Florida's favorite son," said Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL 27th District), talking to a large crowd of supporters ready to get Rubio elected.
"I want this to be your second home. You can sleep at home, that's okay. But when you get up in the morning, you come here, you work the phone, you work the precincts," Ros-Lehtinen continued. "You're gonna tell them where to come to get a bumper sticker. 'I want a yard sign,' you're gonna go over there and give them a yard sign. We want South Florida to be Marco Rubio Country."
Rubio is expected to spend Super Tuesday in Miami. His rival, Donald Trump, is scheduled to spend Super Tuesday in West Palm Beach.
"I believe that if we can move the needle, he can win Florida. But whatever is the case, we're going to send a clear message that we do not support people like Donald Trump. That we support mainstream America. That we support a conservative. That we support a person that is part of the American dream," said Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado.
Tuesday is a big day for the candidates as 13 states will be voting in the Republican primary. Florida's Republican primary is March 15th.
Monday begins the early voting period for Miami-Dade County and runs through March 13th. Early voting starts March 5th in Broward.
