Man Wanted Over Death Of His Sister Now In Custody

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The man wanted for allegedly killed his pregnant sister in an argument over an electric bill has been arrested.

According to authorities, 25-year-old Willie Ward was taken into custody without incident.

Fort Lauderdale Police said 29-year-old Jaquinda Wright got in a verbal fight with her brother, Ward, on Friday. The two were reportedly arguing over an electric bill.

Police said the argument turned physical and Ward punched her twice in the head.

Wright collapsed and was taken to Broward Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

"How can he live with himself like that? I don't know. But hey, only God knows," said Wright's neighbor Lawanda Thomas.

Fort Lauderdale Police said Ward is facing a charge of second degree murder. Ward could face additional charges in the death of his sister's unborn child.
