HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – A violent home invasion in normally quiet Hollywood Hills left two people shaken up.

Now police are looking for the suspect, identified as 49-year-old Robert Nolan Young.

The incident took place Sunday evening in the 4500 block of West Park Road.

Investigators say the victims were tied up inside their home.

"I learned that they were kidnapped for about 2 hours or more and she escaped from the guy," said neighbor John Guerrero.

One of the victims ran to him for help.

"She said, 'Come, come, come with me! Somebody's breaking in my house, the guy has a knife,'" Guerrero remembered.

She continued remembering her saying, "'my brother is inside. He's going to kill my brother, come, come.'"

Investigators say it started with a simple knock on the door.

"(He) told the victim he lost his cat and maybe she could help him, get him some tuna fish," said Hollywood Police Spokeswoman Miranda Grossman.

It escalated quickly and turned violent.

"At that point," Grossman said, "he followed her inside the house assaulted her and the other elderly person in the home, tied them up, robbed them of multiple items then fled on a bicycle."

The victims are brother and sister. They did not want to speak on camera.

CBS4's Ted Scouten spoke off camera to the man, who has a large bruise on his face.

The crime has people who live around here scared.

"I live here by myself," said one neighbor who does not want to be identified. "I'm a single woman. I already sleep with a baseball bat underneath my bed I don't want to invite crime into my home or area."

Young is also wanted in Miramar.  He's accused of charging an elderly woman for a job, and never doing the work.

In the Hollywood case, police are checking to see if the victims knew Young.

"She said it was somebody who in the past did some work for her," Guerrero said.

The two people that Young assaulted were taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated and released.

Investigators need you help finding this suspect.

Crime Stoppers of Broward is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to Young's arrest and conviction. Anonymous tips can be made here or called into to (954) 493-TIPS.
