Man Shot With Assault Rifle In Opa-locka

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The search is on for four subjects who shot a man with high powered assault rifles at an intersection in Opa-locka.

Preliminary information from the police is that the four people got out a car at the intersection of Opa-locka Boulevard and 22nd Avenue and fired into a car which appears to have been rammed at some point.

They then got back into their vehicle and sped off.

The injured man was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Officers arriving on the scene immediately set up a perimeter.

A second perimeter was set up in the waterways area where police suspect their four subjects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot.
