MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami Fire Rescue crews worked tirelessly Wednesday evening.

It all happened near 36th Ave and Flagler Street.

Fire officials said the car caught fire with the person still inside.

Cameras rolled as a Miami Fire Tactical Rescue Team worked to take the driver out of the car after putting out the blaze.

A crumpled car could be seen, smashed in what looked like an apparent crash against a building or pole. The roof of the vehicle was missing. Firefighters could be seen carrying parts of the car away from the scene.

Crews were finally able to get the man out and take him to the hospital.
