Neighbors said they saw Kleinder inside trying to get out through a window, but he couldn't make it so they jumped in to help.

"The window was broken. He was trying to escape from the fire, we just helped him get out through the window," said Melvin Martinez.

Within minutes the entire mobile home was engulfed in flames.

Kleinder was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue nor Miami-Dade Police have said how the fire started or if it was suspicious. However, MDFR is calling this a criminal investigation.

The Miami-Dade homicide unit has joined in on the investigation.
