MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Three people were shot, one fatally, in a Christmas night shooting in Overtown and police are still looking for the gunman.

According to Miami police investigators, a group of people were standing outside of the Express Food Center at 467 NW 8th Street around 8 p.m. Thursday night when suddenly, someone opened fire outside of the corner food store.

Three people were hit.  One victim was driven to the hospital and a second was transported. Both suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Fahmi Abu Gazlea, owner of Express Food Center, said the man who died was shot outside, but went inside the store and collapsed. Abu Gazlea also described him as a regular customer.

"I know him when it was like ten years ago," said Abu Gazlea. "The nicest guy you ever can meet. They used to call him Baby Boo."

Police said they will release the victim's name on Friday.

There is no motive or suspect in the case yet according to authorities and they want anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
