Man Dies Trying To Stop Friend From Allegedly Driving Drunk
COCONUT CREEK (CBSMiami) – Police said a man trying to keep an alleged drunk friend from driving away died as the driver crashed.
According to the Sun Sentinel, 19-year-old Joseph Ianzano of Coconut Creek was holding on to the rear spoiler of the car as the driver tried to leave around 11:15 p.m. Saturday night.
The driver reportedly hit a tree in the 5300 block of Flamingo Place and Ianzano was thrown from the car.
Ianzano suffered head trauma and died.
The incident is still under investigation.
