Man Arrested For Shooting During Dominoes Game

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Broward Sheriff's detectives have arrested a man they believe was responsible for a deadly shooting Wednesday night.

Tyrell Cobbin,24, was located at a friend's home in Opa-locka around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.

He is charged with the first-degree murder of Rodderick Simmons, 30.

Simmons was outside playing dominoes with friends in front of his house on NW 29 Terrace around 11:00 at night when a car pulled up and the occupants got out opening fire on the group.

Simmons and another man were struck by bullets. Simmons died.  The other victim has non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
