Man Arrested After Teen Is Shot On MLK Day

FLORIDA CITY (CBSMiami) -- Police have made an arrest in the shooting of a 14-year-old in Florida City on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and believe it could be gang-related.

Officials said Adrian Harris, 41, was the shooter and is facing several charges including attempted felony murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Investigators also recovered the car believed to have been seen leaving the area moments after the shooting, as well as a gun matching the same caliber bullet recovered at the scene.

It happened at near the 300 block of N.W. 8th Place in an area known as "The Alley."

The teenage victim, Martwan Santiago, is still recovering in the hospital from his wounds.
