FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Going to the Broward courthouse Thursday was almost as difficult for the parents of 4-year old Joshua Snyder as the day he was killed.

Jeff and Saray Snyder said they had to be there for their child and face the man they said is responsible for their misery.

The Snyders were there as a judge decided whether Delivrance Delien should have his bond reduced and go free while he awaits trial.

Last July 5th, prosecutors said,  Delien repeatedly drove his car over the child, killing him, and seriously injuring the child's grandmother in front of their Oakland Park home.

"We were a happy family and one day it ended" said Saray. "He needs to stay there. There has to be justice for our baby."

Delien's lawyer argued he wasn't a flight risk and that he could live with his son who would keep him from driving.

The judge later decided to keep the bond set at $135,000.

It was a moment of relief for the Snyder family.

"It's hard to heal when you hear all this" said Saray.
