KEY WEST (CBSMiami) -- A man who allegedly shot at another man using a flare gun is under arrest.

Monroe County Sheriff's deputies arrested 37-year old Jason Vest on Wednesday, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies said the alleged victim told them he was on board his boat offshore of Wisteria Island in Key West Harbor when the two men got into an argument over an anchoring point.

That's when, the victim said, Vest shot at him twice with a flare gun.

Deputies said Vest told them he shot at the alleged victim after he rammed his boat.

Investigators said they did not see any damage to either boat.

They found the flare gun on Vest's boat with the discharged flare still in it.
