No Bond For Man Accused Of Killing Wife

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The man police arrested for the murder of a woman behind a Miami-Dade preschool appeared in court Saturday.

Antonio Wilcox, 41, according to Miami-Dade Police Department, confessed to killing his wife Michelle Wilcox, 33, Wednesday.

Wilcox didn't have anything to say in bond court and was ordered no bond by the judge.

The shooting happened near a preschool at 2240 NW 119 Street in Miami.

Det. Roy Rutland with Miami-Dade Police said it began as a domestic fight between Wilcox and his wife at 119th Street and 22nd Court, a few blocks away from The Academy of Knowledge Pre-School.

As the argument escalated, police said Michelle Wilcox ran away in fear for her life and as she ran away, Antonio Wilcox fired at her. She was hit and her body collapsed in the grass by the day care.

The couple was married for 12 years and have one child.
