Long Lines At Hialeah Food Distribution Friday

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) -- Long lines surrounded a Hialeah food distribution event on Friday.

Lines of people and cars went all the way out of Amelia Earhart Park as they waited to get their bags of free food starting at 9:00 a.m.

Volunteers handed out bags packed with a variety of fresh produce along with meat and canned goods.

The event, held by the city of Hialeah and Farm Share is meant to feed families in need.

The event runs until noon or until supplies last.
