Local Leaders Gather To Pass Out Free Food To Families

NORTH BAY VILLAGE (CBSMiami) -- South Florida leaders and volunteers gathered Friday to help feed elementary school students and their families in North Bay Village.

State Representative David Richardson and North Bay Village Mayor Connie Leon- Kreps along with Farm Share volunteers are passing out free food bags to families in need.

Each family is getting a bag of in season fresh produce along with meat and canned goods.

The food distribution is set up at Treasure Island Elementary located at 7540 East Treasure Drive.

The event lasts until noon or until their food supply runs out.
