Local Church Making Big Efforts To Help The Bahamas

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A local South Florida church is doing it's part to help raise money for the Bahamas after the region was slammed by storms.

New Beginning Church members, as well as people in the community, are involved in efforts to help the Bahamas.

They are providing planes and making a donation of $50,000 in building materials.

Also in attendance at the church will be someone from the Government of the Bahamas.

A group of churches have come together and made their facilities available for drop off stations.

The address for this event is 2125 NW 155th Street in Miami Gardens.

Pastor Eric Readon is leading the way for this event.

New Beginning Church will be a drop off from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day.

In Broward County Mount Bethel will be a drop off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
