Liberty City Shooting Injures Two Women

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Two women were injured in an overnight shooting in Liberty City.

Around 2 a.m. a Shotspotter alert was sent out to Miami police.

Arriving officers found the women were sitting in a car near NW 63rd Street and 13th Avenue which had a large bullet hole through the back passenger window.

The woman sitting in the passenger seat had her head wrapped in bandages but was responsive. The driver was also alert. They were both taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where they were listed as stable.

Police are working to determine what led to the shooting and if the women were the targets.
