Leinart on Deflategate: 'I Think It's a Pissing Match'
"I go back and forth on what it does to Tom Brady's legacy," Matt Leinart said of Deflategate on the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz at Big 10 Media Days. "In the long-run, I don't think it's gonna do much because you look at a guy like A-Rod who literally used drugs to get better. I mean Tom Brady, you're talking about a guy who likes the football a certain way. To me it's ridiculous because it should have never gotten to this point.
"I understand it's a broken rule so I get that. In my opinion, Tom should've just said 'hey, listen I did it' early on in his press conference and this would've all been taken care of... I think it's a pissing match to be honest with you, I think at the end of the day -- I've read all these things -- Tom is still winning, he's still got all the rings. I don't think people look at him like 'hey, you're a cheater.'"
