LeBron Apologizes For Calling Comment "Retarded"

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — Miami Heat superstar LeBron James apologized late Wednesday night for using the word retarded when giving an answer in a pregame press conference.

James was asked about Kevin Durant improving his passing skills this season when James responded, "That is retarded to me. Kevin Durant is great at being a passer."

LeBron said using the word is a bad habit that he's trying to break and that he'll try to not use it in this context again.

"I mean no disrespect," James said.

LeBron had to apologize for calling something retarded in 2011 during a press conference after a postseason victory over the Boston Celtics.
