2 Taken To Hospital In Lauderhill Apartment Fire

LAUDERHILL (CBSMiami) – Two people have been taken to the hospital after a fire broke out at a Lauderhill residence.

At around 12:45 p.m., Lauderhill firefighters responded to a call of fire and smoke billowing out of an apartment at 2923 NW 56th Ave.

After about 30 minutes, the crew put out the blaze. A child and an adult were taken to Plantation Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

One apartment was destroyed and seven others were damaged, said firefighters.

The Lauderhill Fire Department has not said how the fire started.
