Lauderdale Rental Car Agency Robbed At Gunpoint

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - Police have released a sketch of a hoodie wearing armed robber who hit a rent a car business earlier this week.

On Tuesday, Dec. 14th, the man walked into Sixt Rent A Car, located at 2900 SE 6th Avenue, just before 5 a.m., pointed a gun at a security guard's head and ordered him to lie on the floor. The guard complied.

He then turned to the clerk, pointed the gun at her and told her to get him the money from the safe. He added that she had ten seconds to do so or he would start shooting.

The clerk hurried to the back, grabbed the cash drawer and gave it to him. He the casually walked out of the business and left from the area.

Neither the clerk or guard was hurt. Police have not said how much money was stolen.
