Police Make Arrest In Margate CVS Robbery

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Margate police have arrested a man they believe was captured on surveillance robbing a CVS drug store armed with a knife.

Marvin Gumor Brown Jr., 22, was arrested Tuesday night and taken into custody by Margate Police.

He was transported to the Broward Sheriff's Office jail.

On Monday, the suspect, after entering the business around 4:45 p.m., went behind the counter and ordered an employee at knife point to open the cash register. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, he ran out of the store.

Witnesses told police the man had a thin build, short hair and wearing a white t-shirt with camouflage shorts. He has multiple tattoos on both arms and a distinctive tear drop style tattoo near the right eye. He was armed with a large hunting style knife.
