KEY WEST (CBSMiami) -- Bomb threats at two Florida Keys school prompted evacuations and an investigation to find those responsible.

The two schools under investigation include Marathon High and Key West High, the Florida Keys Sheriff's Office said Monday morning.

Children and staff were evacuated from both schools.

Around 10:30 a.m., authorities gave Marathon High the all clear. Students and staff were allowed back inside.

Deputies said just after 8 a.m., a Marathon School Resource Officer notified them of a bomb threat that had been called in directly to the school. A minute later, they began evacuating students.

A room by room search of the school failed to turn up any threat.

Traffic in the area was also stopped for a brief period.

At last check, deputies were still checking Key West High.

Detectives are working with Key West Police to determine if that bomb threat is related to the call at Marathon High School.
