MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Three days after an armed robbery at a beauty supply store where thousands of dollars' worth of hair extensions were stolen, four suspects, ages 11 to 16, are in custody.

The suspects, according to North Miami Beach Police Richard Rand, were arrested Tuesday.

The robbery happened Saturday, just before 6 p.m., at the Discount Beauty Supply at 1601 NE 163rd Street.

The store's employees told police the four subjects, three males and one female, removed the hair extensions from a storage room located in the back of the store. They then placed them in a back pack.

The employees said when they confronted them, one of the boys produced a firearm from underneath his shirt. They then ran out of the store with approximately $5,000 in extensions.

According to police a family member saw the surveillance on TV and was so upset, they called police.

All four suspects, two of which are siblings, were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center. They face armed robbery charges.
