Jury Selection Begins Monday In Sentencing Trial Of Confessed Parkland Shooter

PARKLAND (CBSMiami) – Jury selection begins Monday in the sentencing trial of the confessed Parkland shooter.
In the penalty phase, those jurors will determine whether Nikolas Cruz will receive the death penalty or life in prison for the murders of 17 people.
He confessed to opening fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February 2018, and already plead guilty to those crimes last October.
The jury selection process is expected to take several weeks.
