Judge Recognizes Middle School Classmate In Bond Court

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A man appeared in bond court Thursday on several charges, including grand theft and burglary.

But when he faced the judge she realized he was a familiar face.

"Did you go to nautilus for middle school?" Judge Mindy Glazer asks the defendant.

Arthur Booth immediately grabbed his head in disbelief, saying "oh my goodness" over and over. Booth then broke down in tears.

"I'm sorry to see you there. I always wondered what happened to you sir. This was the nicest kid in middle school," said Glazer.

While she wished him well, Booth was held on a $43,000 bond.
