Jeb Bush Takes A Jab At Trump

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) - Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush took a jab at fellow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump while campaigning in New Hampshire.

In earlier remarks, Trump called Mexican immigrants as criminals and rapists. Over the weekend a message on Trump's Twitter account from another user said that Bush "has to like the Mexican illegals because of his wife," Columba, who was born in Mexico.

"You can love the Mexican culture. You can love your Mexican american wife. And also believe that we need to control the border. This is a bizarre kind of idea that somehow you can have an affection for people in a different country and not think that the rule of law should apply. This is ludicrous," said Bush during a town hall meeting on Wednesday.

Trump has not apologized, but said Monday evening "somebody else" retweeted the message and "I don't know anything about it" even though it was under his account.

Trump stood firm on his comments about immigrants, saying earlier Monday "the Mexican government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States," and "criminals, drug dealers, rapists" are among them. He said "many fabulous people" come from Mexico and the U.S. is better for them, but this country is "a dumping ground for Mexico."
