Jeb Bush Cancels SC Trip After Deadly Church Shooting

CHARLESTON (CBSMiami/AP) – Jeb Bush is canceling plans to visit Charleston after a shooting at a historic black church that killed nine people.

Jeb Bush was planning on holding a town hall for veterans at the Charleston Maritime Center Thursday. Authorities are now using that venue for briefings about the Wednesday night's church shooting which happened during a Bible study.

Bush has been hitting other early voting states including New Hampshire and Iowa this week after formally announcing his decision to run on Monday.

His son, George P. Bush, is making several appearances in Nevada this week on behalf of the campaign.
