Jarvis Landry Ranked No. 1 Punt Returner in NFL
Remember in the preseason when many questioned whether it would be wise to have one of the Miami Dolphins' more valuable players in Jarvis Landry returning punts at the risk of injury?
I was one of those doubters -- we were all wrong.
Landry was ranked as Pro Football Focus' No. 1 punt returner today for the first half of the NFL season, posting punt returns of 14, 17, 18, 19, 19 and 28 yards, in addition to his 69-yard score in Week 1 against Washington. His plus-6.0 grade on punt returns paces the league and he was also named to PFF's Midseason All-Pro team as a returner.
The 5-foot-11 jukester out of LSU is having a fine season on offense as well. He's on pace for 106 catches and 1,260 yards from scrimmage.
Landry has become Tannehill's go-to receiver, leading the team with 76 targets.
