Marvez: Landry, Beckham Jr. Planning 'Receiving Show' Before MNF Matchup

Gone are the days where receivers aren't expected to break out until Year 2 and 3.

Alex Marvez pointed to second-year wideouts Jarvis Landry of the Dolphins and Odell Beckham Jr. of the Giants as receivers, coincidentally teammates at LSU, who starred from day one.

The Fox Sports NFL reporter then dropped a nugget about the duo planning something fun before their Monday Night Football matchup next fall.

"Last year you look at Beckham and Landry, the two teammates from LSU and what beasts they are," Marvez said on the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz. "By the way, little note on those guys and I talked to Jarvis Landry about this. He said that before the Dolphins play the Giants on Monday Night Football in December that he and Odell Beckham are putting on some type of receiving show during pregame warmups. Each will try to one-up the other. They've been talking about trying to do something really special, really cool, without hurting themselves obviously."

Sounds intriguing, if the NFL doesn't put a stop to it of course. The Dolphins host the Giants on Monday Night Football next season in Week 14 on December 14.
