Jared Jewelers Robbery Caught On Camera

PLANTATION (CBSMiami) – Plantation police are searching for four masked men who robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint.

It happened Monday, March 31st, just before 9 p.m. at the Jared Jewelers on Sunrise Boulevard.

After ordering the employees to lie on the floor, the gunmen used hammers to smash the glass cabinets and steal thousands of dollars in jewelry.

They then fled in a grey Ford F-350 truck.

Police said they arrived at the store in three different vehicles. Two of them, including the Ford truck, have been recovered. It turns out both had been stolen from the north Fort Lauderdale area.

The police and agents from the FBI's Violent Crime Task Force are looking for the third vehicle, a light colored sedan missing the front left hubcap.
