INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston says there is nothing to worry about with his throwing shoulder or his past and he's eager to start winning Super Bowls.

The 2013 Heisman Trophy winner showed up a day late to his interview session with the media because a longer-than-expected medical check.

ESPN reported that Winston was having additional medical tests for weakness in his throwing shoulder, a development Winston and his quarterback tutor, George Whitfield, both said was a non-issue.

When he did arrive, Winston took the questions head on. He joked that the reported injury may be related to playing baseball but his shoulder is as good as it's ever been. And he promised to avoid the problems in his past.
