BAL HARBOUR (CBSMiami) – While the presidential nominees weren't in Florida today, one of Donald Trump's most important surrogates was.

Republicans and Democrats both agree that Ivanka Trump is one of her father's best campaign and business assets. Especially when considering the Trump brand is taking hits financially and with women.

"I'm actually wearing a dress by her and shoes by her," said Yael Lyons-Jungreis. "I was really excited to get to see her in person, but honestly I was blown away."

Ivanka Trump spent the day in South Florida, meeting with donors, visiting a school and ending her day at the Shul of Bal Harbour.

The latter two visits key – appealing to women and South Florida's large Jewish population

"I wanted to know how your father embraced your decision to convert to Judaism?" they asked her.

"I so respect the fact that he supported me from day one. There was no question, there was no argument, there was no asking me if I'd miss Easter or Christmas or trying to persuade me otherwise," she responded. "He was very supportive and you know I think for two reasons, I think he respects me to know that I will make an educated decision that is well reasoned."

Donald Trump's campaign has angered many Jews. One of his tweets of Hillary Clinton pictured with dollar signs and what many interpreted as a Star of David didn't go over well.

Others have said his claims of international bankers rigging the election are reminiscent of anti-semitic propaganda.

But on this day, in this synagogue at least, that was history and Ivanka Trump was the future of U.S. relations with Israel.

"Many presidential candidates have promised, like your father, to change the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He's also stated that he will make Jerusalem the undivided capital of Israel. Is your father committed to doing this and will he make it a reality?" they asked.

"One-hundred percent. One-hundred percent, Jerusalem is the eternal capital, so 100 percent."

It was exactly what the crowd wanted to hear.

"She's amazing. I think she's a great representative of him. I think she really reflects who he is," said Iris Egozi.

Jessica Weiss added, "She's a beautiful role model, he's raising young children, she's a working mom. People need to see that."
