It's A Jungle Out There, A Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – It's a jungle out there, a Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy that is.

The critically acclaimed Broward hit Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy settles into the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for a six-day run starting Tuesday.

It was created by South Florida's Neil Goldberg, the founder and artistic director of Pompano Beach-based Cirque Dreams.

The Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy website describes the show as an "exotic encounter inspired by nature's unpredictable creations that are brought to life by an international cast of soaring aerialists, spine-bending contortionists, acrobats, jugglers and musicians."

There are spectacular costumes which bring the journey to life in a fantastical jungle setting filled with flowers, magical trees and a variety of special effects. The site goes on to state, "From the Butterfly Ballet and Flipping Monkeys to Hopping Frogs and Stretching Lizards, this world-class explosion of imagination, athleticism and Broadway theatrics will exhilarate and entertain audiences of all ages."

Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy has been performed more than 2,000 times since 2007, including a month-long run at the Broadway Theatre in New York.

The show opens Tuesday and plays in Broward through Sunday.
