CORAL SPRINGS (CBSMiami) -- Authorities have identified two people who drowned in Coral Springs over the weekend but they are still trying to determine the circumstances of their death.

On Monday, Coral Springs Police identified 5-year-old Joneily Lanclos and her mother Heidi Marrero, 32, as the two people who drowned in a community pool the day before.

Two men discovered the woman and her daughter floating in the water at 1225 Riverside Drive, around 3:30 p.m. They began administering CPR to rescue them until crews arrived.  The mother and daughter were taken to Broward Health Coral Springs where they were pronounced dead.

Officials said while the child was wearing a bathing suit, her mother was not. Though, they do believe it was their intention to go swimming.

Anyone with information is urged to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
