SCOUTING: One of the players the Gibbons coaches have been talking about for a few years now. And as he heads toward his sophomore season, this spring answered plenty of questions about this talented football player - who has an accurate arm and plenty of mobility when needed. In two spring events - against Miami-Dade powers Coral Gables and Killian - he showed his leadership, knowledge and athletic ability while still learning everything about the position. Scalzo has been a top-flight prospect since his days at the youth level, he will now have that opportunity to get it done when all the chips are on the table, in a very competitive district. He watched, learned and geared himself up for this chance - and off of what he has done in the first seven months of the offseason, this summer and the 2016 season should be a lot of fun for the Chiefs and first-year head coach Matt Dubuc.
