Watch: Ichiro Suzuki Pitch in Marlins Finale

The Miami Marlins are not going to the playoffs this season but that doesn't mean their finale on Sunday -- a 7-2 loss to the Phillies -- was lacking fireworks.

First, Dee Gordon became the first player since Jackie Robinson in 1949 to lead the league in batting average (.333) and steals (58) in the same season.

Then came Ichiro Suzuki -- the pitcher. The veteran outfielder fulfilled his dream of pitching in an MLB game when he took the mound in the eighth inning, unleashing some nasty stuff.

He threw 18 pitches, 11 for strikes, allowing two hits and one earned run in one inning of work.
