ICE Officer Forced To Fire In Pompano Beach

DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) -- A federal law enforcement officer was forced to fire in Pompano Beach, although officials said no one was hurt.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer, part of a fugitive operations unit, discharged a weapon in pursuit of a suspect.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the shooting near 279 N.E. 40th Court.

The suspect was taken into custody.
