CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – A big reason why the Miami Hurricanes have continued to climb the college football rankings this season is a strong defense.

The tenth ranked Hurricanes boast one of the country's most dominant defensive units and the d-line has a lot to do with that.

On Monday, junior defensive end Trent Harris was named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Defensive Lineman of the Week.

Harris had a big game during Miami's 35-21 victory over Georgia Tech last Saturday, making a major contribution to the victory.

He finished the game tying a career high with 7.0 tackles, adding career highs in sacks with 2.0 and in tackles for loss with 3.0.

Harris added his first career forced fumble which was scooped up by freshman linebacker Shaquille Quarterman and returned for a touchdown.

Miami will take its 4-0 record into a big weekend battle with rival No. 23 Florida State on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.
