MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Hurricanes have been playing their best football of the season over the past several weeks, and they couldn't have picked a better time to get hot.

The Hurricanes are on a bye this week, giving them extra time to rest, heal and prepare for what could very well end up being their biggest game of the season.

The No. 2 ranked Florida State Seminoles will be heading down to South Florida in a couple weeks for a primetime matchup with the Canes.

The Miami-Florida State game will be televised in prime time at 8 p.m., a clear sign that the Hurricanes recent string of solid games has not gone unnoticed.

While the Canes are off this week, the Seminoles will host ACC rival Virginia up in Tallahassee.  Should the Seminoles (8-0) take care of business against the Cavaliers (4-5), Florida State will come into the Miami game having won their last 25 FBS games.

The Hurricanes will be looking for the first win against Florida State in five tries as the Seminoles have won the last four meetings between the intra-state rivals.
