MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A hospital patient was taken into custody after he allegedly took an ambulance for a joyride.
The private ambulance was reportedly taken from the Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital just before 10 a.m. The bus was left unattended under the overhang at the hospital when David Bozeman got behind the wheel and drove off, according to police.
Bozeman reportedly drove it a few blocks before crashing into a University of Miami patient transport bus at NW 15th Street and Bob Hope Road. That's where he was taken into custody.
The driver of the University of Miami bus was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
