MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police are piecing together a mystery murder outside a Laundromat near Marlins Park.

City of Miami Police said a body was found at 7 a.m. Friday morning outside the Laundromat located at 1259 NW 7th St.

Though police said they don't know how the man died, there were clear trauma marks on his body. Authorities also said the man frequented the area.

A source close to CBS4 said the victim was a white Hispanic male in his late 40s to early 50s and appeared to be homeless.

"I think it's absolutely terrible the violence on the homeless people and absolutely uncalled for," said neighbor Jack Sargent.

As of right now, authorities said no witnesses have stepped forward, but believe a security camera outside the store holds clues to what transpired.

"Hopefully someone will come forward with information leading to something," said Sargent.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at (305)471-TIPS (8477).
