MARATHON (CBSMiami/AP) – A homeless man reportedly drowned in a pool at a Florida Keys resort on Tuesday, sheriff's deputies said.

The man's body was spotted at the deep end of the pool by an employee at Marathon's Banana Bay Resort.

Deputy Greg LaRochelle and two others pulled the body of 51-year-old Michael Cosgrove and began CPR. Cosgrove was pronounced dead a short time later at Fisherman's Hospital.

Deputies say Cosgrove apparently lived in a van, which was found in the parking lot. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.

An investigation continues.
