Holocaust Survivor David Mermelstein Has Passed Away

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Holocaust survivor David Mermelstein passed away Tuesday at the age of 92.

His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo in Kendall.

Mermelstein has been featured many times on CBS4, including the "March of the Living" special in 2012.

CBS4 accompanied him and two other survivors to Poland for their first return to Auschwitz since the liberation back in 1945.
