Antonio Brown Nowhere To Be Found After Trainer Taken Into Custody For Burglary With Battery

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – Even more trouble Tuesday night for NFL free agent Antonio Brown, who is now being accused of battering a man at his Hollywood home.

Hollywood Police Department spokesperson Christian Lata said officers responded to a disturbance at Brown's residence in the Oaks Gated Community off Sterling Road at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, police came in contact with a man who said he had been battered by Brown and his trainer, Glenn Holt.

Officers located Holt, who was taken into custody one one count of burglary with battery. Holt is currently being taken to the Broward County Jail where he will be arraigned.

The extent of the victim's injuries are unknown.

As for Brown, police said he was nowhere to be found.

"At the time of the incident he was on scene, but unfortunately officers attempted to make contact with him and were unsuccessful," Lata said.

Lata stopped short of saying Brown was a suspect, saying only that detectives are "conducting a thorough investigation" and "are looking into all aspects of the investigation."

According to TMZ, this all stems from an incident with a driver who works for a moving company.

Police have not confirmed to CBS4 the moving truck connection.

However, CBS4's Hank Tester noted a large moving van that was parked outside Brown's residence departed with a bevvy of police cruisers in tow.

"We heard the helicopters and figured it was Antonio Brown," said neighbor Kathy Capuano. "Saw the police and news stations. Concerned on what was going on with him today."

The Hollywood Police Department, which has now responded to four incidents involving Brown in the past three months, recently cut ties with Brown following an outburst aimed at officers responding to a domestic dispute.

Brown, who recorded the encounter on his phone and posted it on Instagram, was screaming at Chelsie Kyriss, the mother of three of his children, to get off his property.

Brown could be heard accusing Kyriss, who was there to pick up the kids for school, of trying to steal his Bentley.

Kyriss was allegedly evicted from the house and was only allowed to be there to take the children.

When police arrived, Brown became irate when officers tried to get a good grasp on the situation.

As a result of the profanity-laced tirade, which includes a staggering 14 f-bombs in the first 21 seconds of video, the department said Brown is no longer welcome as a benefactor and volunteer with the PAL youth football team.

"I don't want my kids to be seeing famous athletes causing trouble, so as a parent that bothers me," said neighbor Risa Chopp in regards to Tuesday's incident.

Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, reportedly dropped him until Brown can seek counsel.
