PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) -- Wednesday's  CBS4 Holiday Home is in Pembroke Pines.

It belongs to the Sumby family and is located at 20360 NW 4th Street in Chapel Trail in western Pembroke Pines.

The Steve and Lisa Sumby have transformed their home with more than 70-thousand lights plus dozens of hand-painted wooden characters created by "Grandpa," Lisa Sumby's father.

The Sumby's put their first display up in 1992 and every year, Grandpa would add a couple of new wooden characters to the delight of those who visited their home year after year.  Grandpa is gone now but Steve Sumby and his grown son carry on this sweet and wonderfully festive family tradition.

The family spends some 180 hours assembling their holiday display.
