Hill On Stanton: "We Are Hopeful That We Get Him Back Before Seasons End"

Mike Hill, President of Baseball Operations for the Miami Marlins, joined the Hochman, Crowder and Krantz show on 560 WQAM to discuss the Alex Rodriguez situation, if he thinks the Marlins can make the playoffs without Giancarlo Stanton and if the slugger can return to Miami's lineup before seasons end. He also talks about if Barry Bonds has asked to hit for the team, Fernando Rodney getting back to closing and this team always finding a way to win.

On Alex Rodriguez: "From what I know, he's made his decision and he's looking forward to retirement"

On the Marlins playoff chances without Giancarlo Stanton: "This is something that [Marlins manager] Don [Mattingly] has preached from day one. We should expect the unexpected and it's going to be an intense grind and we cannot lose what we want to accomplish."

On the possibility of Stanton coming back this season: "We are hopeful that we get him back before seasons end to help us put the finishing touches on this playoff run."
