Hialeah Dentist Shot Outside Her Office Has Died

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – A Hialeah dentist who was ambushed and shot has died.

Carmen Ramirez was shot outside of her dental office on November 17.

Ralph Benjamin and Hector Ledesma are charged with attempted first-degree murder for the shooting.

Hialeah police believe Ramirez was targeted because the brother of one of the accused allegedly stole $40,000 from her and her dental office.

Police said both men will now be charged accordingly.
