Hialeah Boil Water Advisory Still In Effect

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) -- The boil water advisory remains through the weekend for Hialeah residents due to contamination.

The City of Hialeah Department of Public Works said contaminated samples could be due to recent construction activity.

An advisory has been issued for residents living near these areas:

Area 1

  • North: West 84th Street
  • South: West 60th Street
  • East: Palmetto Expressway Way
  • West 21st Street

Area 2

  • North: West 84th Street
  • South: West 21st Street
  • East: Palm Avenue
  • West: Palmetto Expressway Way

As a precaution, the city advises residents in the affected areas should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes.

The precautionary boil water advisory will remain in effect until bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
