Heat Sign DeAndre Liggins From D-League

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The Miami Heat announced the signing of guard DeAndre Liggins from the team's NBA Developmental League squad, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Liggins was given a 10-day contract to join the Heat after appearing in 35 games with the Skyforce this season. Liggins has averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.5 steals while shooting 40 percent from the field. Liggins was also selected as a 2014 NBA D-League All-Star.

Liggins has played in 56 career NBA games with a career average of 1.6 points and 1.2 rebounds in 7.2 minutes of action in the association.

He was originally selected by the Orlando Magic in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft.
